#13 Great website for my class

One of my favorite online activities is SheppardSoftware.com. The students prefer it to the old-fashioned method of learning political/physical locations. It's simple - use your mouses to locate/click-and-drag/hi-lite the requested spot. Aim for a high score, not just beacuse it's a high score, but because I provide positive reinforcement for great performances.

Pros:

Never had a bad connection. Shep Sof must have a good server.

Dozens of levels applicable to my curriculum.

Proper enunciation included!

It's free!

Cons:

This site is really only applicable to Social Studies. Sorry, other core subjects.

Can't fabricate my own levels.

Internet-based, so wi-fi is a must, and that's limiting to schools with great bandwidth.
